Marked Tree Vineyards

A North Carolina Winery Done Right

Amateur Consumption
behind-the-bar

I’m not sure the first time I had Pear Valley wine, but I do remember the first time it truly stuck out to me. I was drinking their Charbano. It had just enough body, just enough fruit, and just enough tannin. I was sold. At the time my parents were living in Central Coast California and had quickly come to love Pear Valley for their great value wines and family friendly atmosphere. My parents encouraged us to look at their wine club.

Davis Estates

A Distinguished Winery In Napa Valley

Amateur Consumption

Pulling into Davis Estates you can see the property is beautiful. However, upon walking inside you see the tasting room itself is the true star. The building is rustic, but with luxurious seating, high end art pieces from Pablo Picasso and Rembrandt that Mike Davis and his wife Sandy have gifted to each other over the years, and beautiful kitchen staffed daily with a chef.

Justin

Napa Quality Cabernet For 1/3 The Cost

Amateur Consumption

The first time I tasted Justin Cabernet Sauvignon I was blown away at the quality for the price. The basic Cab runs between $20 and $25 a bottle, a steal for the quality. It quickly became a bottle I picked up everytime I saw it at Costco and I often choose to open at my parent’s house when visiting. Located in Paso Robles, the Justin Winery has been making wine since they planted their first vineyard in 1981.
